Emily Berg- A Texas Hill Country Artist

Welcome! I am a creator, educator, and leader who believes that art is a powerful vehicle for connection, storytelling, and community transformation. Professionally, my career is built on a foundation of artistic design, creative direction, and project management. From building comprehensive elementary fine arts programs from the ground up to directing large-scale community art events involving hundreds of students and volunteers, I thrive on turning complex creative visions into organized, impactful realities. I am truly blessed to be able to create art, and I approach every project with a deep sense of gratitude and a commitment to high-level craft.

At the core of who I am is my faith. As a believer in Christ, my faith has a massive impact on how I live my life, love my family, and approach my creative work. My family and I live in the Texas Hill Country on a small farm. Our home is a lively, joyful haven shared with an eclectic mix of animals, including our goats, chickens, cats, dogs, a potbelly pig, and even a hermit crab.

When I am not in the studio or classroom working with my favorite mediums—acrylic paint and vibrant watercolors—you can usually find me enjoying the quiet rhythms of everyday life. I am a competitive archer, reader, and love hitting the water to go kayaking with my family. And on those rare, precious occasions when my two boys finally let me, I absolutely love a good nap. My life is a balance of Faith, family, and spontaneous joy: and every piece of art I create is infused with the warmth, faith, and inspiration I gather from the world around me.
